Advanced MIDI Recording

Advanced MIDI recording requires you to enable various settings for the operation you want to perform. For example, in order to record Controller events you must enable the recording of Controllers by checking that setting in the Record Criteria dialog box (Setup menu). In order to enable recording in a particular Loop Record mode, such as Multiple Take mode, you must check that setting in the Record/Play dialog box (Setup menu). Remember to verify the appropriate settings if recording does not occur as expected.

Once you enable (or disable, as the case may be) a Metro setting, you must save that setting if you want it to remain in effect when you reopen Metro. You save settings by clicking the Save button in any of the Preferences dialog boxes (File menu). Clicking Save in any of the Preferences dialog boxes not only saves all settings listed in the dialog, but saves most other settings you may have chosen in Metro—including Output Setups, Switches, the placement and size of Metro’s windows, Program Names, and more.
