Editing a hairpin

Reposition a hairpin by clicking inside it with the selection tool and dragging it to the desired location.

Clicking a hairpin displays its handles. Use the handles to change the length, slope, or opening width (arc) of the hairpin.

To do this:
Do this:
Change the length
Click on one of the outer handles and
drag horizontally.
Change the slope of all lines (upper and lower).
Click an outer handle and drag vertically. Command-drag to change the slope of oth sets of lines by the same amount.
Change the slope of the upper line(s).
Click on the upper outer handle and drag vertically.
Change the slope of the lower line(s).
Click on the lower outer handle and drag vertically.

Dynamic markings are for display purposes only and do not affect MIDI playback.
