Adding or changing the abbreviated name:

To make staves more easily identifiable in the score, you can give each track an abbreviated name. This displays to the left of every staff (if you check the Show Abbreviation box). Add or change an abbreviation by doing the following:

  1. Click the Abbr. field.

  2. Type in the abbreviated name of the track. If you check the Show Abbreviation box, the abbreviated name appears to the left of all staves after the first staff.

  3. Click OK.

If you select one of the names from the Instruments list in this dialogue box, METRO automatically fills this field with the abbreviation for that instrument.
