Adding or changing the track name

The user-defined name from the Name field of the Tracks window automatically appears to the left of the first system on the score. You can add or change the name either in the Tracks window (see 'Name Your Track', page 99), or in the Setup Notation Track dialog box. A change made in either place affects both.

To add or change the name in the Setup Notation Track dialog box:

  1. Click the Main field

  2. Type the full name of the track in this field. If you check the Show Name option, this name appears next to the first staff on the first page of the score.

  3. Click OK. The track name changes in both the score and in the Tracks window.

For a longer name taking up two lines, put in commas for carriage returns. The name breaks where you specify.
