Snapshot Button

Clicking on the Snapshot button during play or record sends out every Output’s Volume and Pan settings across all Metro ports and channels.

note02.gif Note: When clicking the Snapshot button during record, only the Outputs assigned to Metro’s Record port are recorded into the record-enabled track.

Clicking the Snapshot button when play or record is not engaged inserts physical Volume and Panning events (Controllers 7 and 10, respectively) at the current insertion point across all selected tracks. Use the Tracks window Overview to select an insertion point across multiple or noncontiguous tracks; then click the Snapshot button to encode the Controller and Program Change events into the selected tracks. This feature is very useful for placing Controller and Program Change events at any location within single or multiple tracks. Be careful to remove previously inserted controller events if you need to use the Snapshot function more than once at the same location on a track.
