Setting a Pan Value in the Instruments Mixer Window

You can click directly in the Pan field and set a Pan value, or you can click directly on the Pan Dial and move it left or right. Pan field changes can be recorded as long as the current Output is assigned to the specified Record Port under MIDI Setup in the Setup menu (or, when running OMS or MSS, the Output is selected via the Record From pop-up menu in the MIDI Setup dialog).

If you click to the right of the Pan field, placing a dot there, the pan value (Controller 10) will be sent each time Metro plays. Pan values encoded as Controller events within tracks override the Pan values associated with particular Outputs.

note02.gif Note: Metro allows the Pan knob to be reassigned to any controller, or configured to send out System Exclusive data.
