Faders

Faders allow you to adjust the values of various controller data, such as Volume or Modulation. Metro offers up to 254 faders, each of which is associated with an Output. You set the controller that a fader affects by specifying it as a parameter of the fader’s associated Output. You use the Define Outputs dialog box to assign a particular controller number to a fader. You can use the fader to set the controller value, or you can set the controller value in the Data field in the Instrument Mixer window.

In addition to using faders to adjust controller values, you can use them to record controllers and their values as Controller events. This means that each time a track is played back and the Counter reaches a particular Controller event, the appropriate controller and controller value will take effect.

During playback or record, all faders automatically move according to the values of the Controller events within the tracks assigned to each Output.
