Setting a Data Field Value in the Instruments Mixer Window

Setting a value in the Data field adjusts the Controller data value for Controller number that is set in the Define Outputs dialog box. Moving a fader up or down will affect the numeric Data field display, as well as adjust the data value of the currently assigned Controller number (specified in the Define Outputs dialog). Metro Output Sliders default to transmitting Controller 7 (MIDI Volume).

If you click to the right of the Data field, placing a dot there, the Data value will be sent each time Metro plays.

note02.gif Note: Metro allows the Data knob to be reassigned to any controller, or configured to send out System Exclusive data.

Audio Tracks handle volume in the same way as MIDI Tracks, however, special 15 bit automation (32,767 steps) is derived from the Audio Track’s volume (controller 7) information.
