Select All

Select All
selects all of a kind of data depending on the window that is currently active.

If the Graphic Editor window is active, Select All selects all displayed tracks of audio, MIDI and/or continuous data depending on the Data Type display mode(s) and the current setting of the Selection Tool (Arrow Tool or Forceps Tool). In the Tracks window, Select All selects all bars on all MIDI and Audio Tracks. In the Event Editor, Section Event Editor and Markers windows, Select All selects all displayed data across the current track or Section.

Selecting All in the Graphic Editor window:

In the Graphic Editor’s Notes or Drums display with the Arrow Tool selected, Select All selects all notes and all corresponding continuous data and program changes across the active track. Selected Audio Tracks shown in the Notes display also include volume (controller 7) and panning (controller 10) automation.

In the Graphic Editor’s Notes or Drums display with the Forceps Tool selected, Select All selects only notes within the designated pitch range (vertical selection range) across the active track.

In the Graphic Editor’s Controller, After Touch, Poly After Touch, Pitch Bend, Average Velocity, or Program Change display, Select All selects only data across the active track with respect to that track’s Data Type display settings.

In the Graphic Editor’s Tempo display, Select All selects all tempo data across the active Section.

note02.gif Hint: Single-clicking on a single track in the Tracks window selects all data across that track. Single-clicking on a Drum Name within the Drums display of the Graphic Editor window selects all data across only that single Drum Name or drum timbre.
