Delete Time Delete Time functions similarly to the Cut command; however, Delete Time deletes both audio and MIDI data within the selected area and shortens the track by the length of the selected area. For example, if you select 2 bars in a 10 bar track and choose Delete Time, the 2 bar gap will close and the track will shorten to 8 bars. To delete time from one or more tracks: Select the area you want to delete in either: The Graphic Editor window (any display mode) if you’re deleting time from one track The Tracks window Overview if you’re deleting time across one or more tracks From the Edit menu, choose Delete Time.
