Cut Cut removes selected audio and MIDI data from its original location and places it on the Clipboard. Using another edit operation, such as Paste or Merge Data, retrieves this data from the Clipboard. If you perform an edit operation that does not retrieve this data, such as another Cut, this data will be deleted and lost.
