Muting and Soloing Drum Names
Metro’s Drums display allows Drum Names within a single track to be individually
muted or soloed during playback. If you are using a color or grayscale monitor, you’ll notice two empty square fields to the left of each displayed Drum Name;
clicking on either of these two fields displays the Mute and/or Solo buttons,
respectively. On monochrome monitors, two pixel-sized indicators appear before each
Drum Name; clicking on either of these two indicators displays the Mute and/or
Solo buttons, respectively.
Muting and soloing Drum Names within the Drums display works much like muting
and soloing tracks within the Tracks window. Clicking on the first field (or
indicator) to the left of a displayed Drum Name causes a dot to appear,
signifying that the Drum Name is muted; clicking on the Mute dot a second time unmutes
the Drum Name. Multiple Drum Names can be muted simultaneously.
Clicking on the second field (or indicator) to the left of a displayed Drum
Name causes a dot to appear, signifying that the Drum Name is soloed (all other
Drum Names become temporarily muted); clicking on the Solo dot a second time
unsolos the Drum Name (and unmutes all previously unmuted tracks). Multiple Drum
Names can be soloed simultaneously.
Note: Reselect the current Drum Set from the Drum Set pop-up menu to quickly unmute/unsolo all tracks.
