Recording Tempo Events
You can also record multiple tempo events over time using the Tempo setting in the Transport. The Section adjusts to these various tempos during playback
Metro scales the value of tempo events you record when using the Transport’s Tempo setting.
To record tempo events:
- Choose Record Criteria from the Setup menu.
- Check Tempo Changes if it’s not already checked, then click OK.
- Record enable a track by clicking in the Record column, placing a dot there.
- Click Record or press Option-R to begin recording.
- If you want to record a stream of Tempo events over time, drag the Tempo
slider in the Tempo setting left or right.
- If you want to record one Tempo event for every click-and-release of the
mouse, click the Left or Right Tempo arrows (each arrow click is the equivalent
1/10th of a beat).
- Press the Spacebar.
Choose Section Event Editor from the Windows menu. Notice a stream of Tempo
events is contained in the Section Event Editor. Tempo events are saved with
Sections (not tracks), therefore, Tempo events are placed in the Section Event
Editor.
