Drum Set Editor

The Drum Set Editor dialog allows you to create, edit, and manage Metro Drum Set files. The Drum Set Editor dialog displays the Drum Name assignments for any Drum Set currently accessible within the Metro application. Drums Set files can also be exported and imported directly to and from a disk within this dialog.

Drum Set files consist of lists of Standard Drum Names and User Drum Names that are assigned to specific MIDI note numbers. Any changes made to a Drum Set within the Drums display of the Graphic Editor will be saved to the original Drum Set.

Standard Drum Names are hard wired into the Metro program and cannot be renamed or deleted; User Drum Names can be created on the fly and named at will. Both Standard Drums Names and User Drum Names can be assigned to any MIDI note number within a Drum Set. However, be aware that User Drum Names will not be affected when transposing a Drum track from one Drum Set to another; only Standard Drum Names will be transposed.

You can transpose a Drum track from one Drum Set to another by Option-clicking the Drum Set pop-up (within the Drums display of the Graphic Editor) and choosing another Drum Set.
