Edit Notes in Selection Only

With Edit Notes in Selection Only checked, Metro considers notes to be selected only if their start time lies within the current selection. In this mode you must select the beginnings of notes to edit them. This is usually desirable for Cut/Paste types of operations.

When Edit Notes in Selection Only is not checked, Metro edits are truly WYSIWYG. If you Cut the end of a note whose duration extends into the selection, Metro will cut the end of the note off and place that portion of the note on the Clipboard. This can be useful for clearing notes that unintentionally extend into a measure they’re not supposed to. In another example, cutting in the middle of a long note would produce two notes with silence in between.
