SysEx

You can insert System Exclusive data using the Event Editor's Insert pop-up menu, or by using the File menu's Insert SysEx command (good for importing Text or Bin-Hex files containing SysEx data), or you can record SysEx data directly into Metro from your MIDI device.

No matter which method you use, the System Exclusive event will be displayed as text data in the Event Editor window and graphically as a vertical bar in the Graphic Editor window (the latter is true only if Show SysEx in Graphic Editor is selected under the Switches menu).

You can edit System Exclusive data using the System Exclusive Event Edit dialog box, which you can open from either the Event Editor window or the Graphic Editor window.

In the Event Editor, click the word 'SysEx' in the Channel column to open the System Exclusive Event Edit dialog box. Then, using the Hexadecimal number system, enter values to alter the event.

Double-clicking in the left-most column in the Event Editor window opens the Graphic Editor window to display the graphic representation of the SysEx event.

You can also open the System Exclusive Event Edit dialog box from the Graphic Editor window by clicking on the vertical SysEx bar.
