Curve Tools
The Curve Tools, available in any of the Graphic Editor window's 'continuous data' modes, function much like the Pencil ToolContinuous Data. The Curve Tools allow you to draw smooth transitions of continuous data into the Controller,
Tempo, Pitch Bend, After Touch, Poly After Touch, and Average Velocity
displays. Just select one of the Curve Tools and click and drag the mouse in a track's 'continuous data' display area to create a smooth curve of data.
Audio Track Volume Automation
Metro's Audio Track volume automation employs special 15 bit controller data (32, 767 steps) to modulate volume messages encoded into an Audio Track. Use Controller 7 to create and edit Volume automation. Use Controller 10 for Panning automation, which is limited to 128 steps. Zooming in allows sample accurate placement of Audio Track Controller data within a track.
Audio Track volume automation edited in the Continuous Data dialog is denoted
as Controller number 7 with values between 0 and 127. Manually entered audio
volume controller values in the Graphic Editor window are interpolated to achieve
15 bit resolution.
