Effects Automation in the Instruments Mixer Window You can automate an effect using the automation buttons in the Instruments Mixer Window and the effects controls in the Effects Window. Open the Instruments Mixer Window and the Effects Window. If there is no effect in the Effects window, open the Plug-ins Window and drag an effect from the Plug-ins Window into the Effects window. In the Instruments Mixer Window, Click the Record button in the Automation section at the top of the Window. This enables automation recording. Play the track, adjusting the effect's settings to the desired levels. Rewind the track and play it back. Your automated settings appear during playback. Please Note: When deleting an effect plug-in, the automation data in the track for that plug-in is not removed.
