Editing Tracks in SubSections
In addition to editing SubSections as events, you’ll probably want to edit SubSections in greater detail by viewing all the tracks within each SubSection and editing the MIDI data in each track. As with Section tracks, you can view and gain access to SubSection MIDI and Audio tracks in the Tracks window
If a track contains SubSections, selecting that track in the Tracks window
causes a SubSections pop-up menu to appear in the upper left portion of the window. The SubSections pop-up shows the number of SubSections contained within the selected track;
clicking this pop-up shows all the available SubSections within the selected
track. When you select the SubSection you want to work on, all the tracks in it
appear in the Tracks window, which temporarily becomes a SubSection Tracks
window.
To edit tracks in SubSections:
- Open the Tracks window, if it’s not already open, by choosing Tracks from the Windows menu or typing
Command-K.
- Select the track that contains the SubSections you want to edit by clicking on
the Track Number or Name.
Notice the SubSection popup menu appears in the upper portion of the Tracks window displaying the
number of SubSections contained in the selected track.
- Click and hold the mouse on the SubSections popup menu.
- Choose the SubSection you want to work on, then release the mouse.
Notice the name of the Tracks window changes to the name of the SubSection you
selected and the window lists all the tracks in that SubSection.
Notice the SubSection pop-up menu has now turned to a button titled with the name of the Section
containing the SubSection. To get back to the Tracks window for that Section, just click on the button.
