OMS Updates Metro About Your Setup

First, you specify in the OMS Setup (or OMS Setup+Patches) application’s Studio Setup document the MIDI devices you’re using, the ports on which they’re transmitting, the device IDs, whether the device transmits sync, and so on. Then, OMS automatically provides Metro and all other OMS compatible applications with this information so you don’t have to enter it again in each MIDI application you run. Plus, Metro can derive its Output Setup directly from the information provided in the Current OMS Studio Setup document. You’ll only need to change your OMS Studio Setup document if you make changes in your physical MIDI device setup. If you add or remove devices in your physical MIDI setup, remember to do the same in the OMS Studio Setup document—it’s a primary source of information so it must always be accurate and current.

Using OMS means all your MIDI applications perform with the same definition of your MIDI studio.
