Setting Output Channels
In order for a Metro Output to play, you must be sure it is set to the same port and MIDI channel on which your MIDI device is receiving. Outputs assigned to an audio port route an audio signal from audio regions within a track to the corresponding stereo output port.
Note: If you are working with OMS or MSS, choosing Make outputs reflect current studio setup document within the Modify Instruments and Busses dialog box to automatically extracts the channel, port and other information defined in your Current Studio Setup.
To set an Outputs channel:
- In the Instruments Mixer window (Command-I),double-click an Output Name displayed along the bottom of the window (names are located below each fader).
Notice a Define Outputs dialog box appears.
- In the Channel field, enter the channel number you want the output to play on. The channel number you enter in this dialog box affects the Chan field displayed in the Instruments Mixer window, and vice versa.
- Click OK.
