Adding an expression to the score Select an expression from the expression tool palette and click where you want to insert it. The cursor changes to indicate that METRO attaches the expression to a particular staff. Cursor Meaning This crosshair appears when the cursor is directly over a staff and indicates that the next action applies to this staff. This crosshair appears when the cursor is above a staff and indicates that the next action applies to the staff immediately below the cursor. This crosshair appears when the cursor is below a staff and indicates that the next action applies to the staff immediately above the cursor.
