The Korg 1212 I/O
Note: this information may also appear in your Metro User’s Guide, but is included here for your convenience.
If you own a Korg 1212I/O audio card, you can use the audio card to record and
play audio in Metro. Use the Digital Audio Setup dialog, reached through the
Setup menu’s Digital Audio command, to configure Metro’s audio settings.
In the Digital Audio Setup dialog, click Recording Settings to configure the
Korg 1212 I/O card. You’ll see the following dialog box appear:
Monitor On
Click this checkbox to use play any incoming audio signal through the Korg
1212 I/O’s outputs.
Input Gains
We recommend you leave the input gain at 100% to get the clearest recordings.
If your audio distorts when you record, reduce the volume of the incoming
signal with an external mixer.
Clock Source
This setting determines whether Metro will synchronize its audio to the audio
card or some other source.
Record Left
Use this setting to choose which incoming audio source on the 1212 I/O will be
used for mono recording, or as the left channel in a stereo track. You can
pick from any of the card’s combination of 12 analog, SPDIF or ADAT optical I/O inputs.
Record Right
Use this setting to choose which incoming audio source on the 1212 I/O will be
used for the right channel in a stereo track.
