Chord Entry Method

The Chord Entry Method that is checked in this submenu determines how Metro will arrange chords when chord step entry is used or when chords are entered using the Enter Chord Mode in the Special menu.

Normal inputs chords exactly as they are defined (see Scales/Chords in the Setup menu).

Keep Same Chord Tones arrange the chords so that like-pitches from the last chord appear in the same octave as the current chord. Thus entering C followed by D7 inserts an inversion of the D7 such that the C of the D7 is the same pitch as the C from the C chord.

Random inserts chords with random inversions.
