Zero Crossing
When you edit audio data, choosing Zero Crossing allows for making the
selection start and end points move to the audio data’s zero crossing point. Selecting data at zero crossings helps to eliminate
clicks and pops at the beginning and end of the selection.
The settings range from loose to tight:
Loose means that any sample that crosses zero will be selected regardless of the
values on either side of the crossing.
Tight means that the audio sample must be within 1 of zero at the cross point (e.g.
-1, 0 or 1).
