Limit

The Limit dialog box allows you to edit attack velocities, release velocities, after touch, and controllers so that data will only be transmitted within a specific range of values. Values below the boundaries you set change to the lower limit of the range. Values above the boundaries change to the upper limit of the range. Values within the range do not change.

To limit values:

  1. In the Graphic Editor or Tracks Overview, select the data across one or more tracks you want to edit.

  2. From the Options menu, choose Limit.

The Limit dialog box appears.

  1. Click the radio button of the data type you want to limit. If you select Controllers, choose All to affect all controllers or Only to affect only the controller whose number you type next to the Only button.

  2. Select the desired value range in the Limit to between 'N' and 'N' fields.

  3. Click OK.

The data type you selected will be limited to the range between the two values specified. For example, to limit velocities to between 20 and 100, you would enter both values into the Limit to between 'N' and 'N' fields, check the Attack Velocities button, and click OK.
