Drums Display Selection Tools To select drum data, first choose a Select Tool: either the Arrow or the Forceps. You can select Drums Strikes limited in time and pitch by dragging across the desired notes in the Drum Grid with the Forceps Tool selected; or you can select Drum Strikes limited in time only by dragging with the Arrow Tool selected. You can add individual Drum Names to an existing selection. First, create a selection, then click on the Drum Name; Shift-click on additional Drum Names to select multiple drums. If there is no selection, clicking a Drum Name selects that drum for the entire track. Using either Select Tool, you can select one bar increments by clicking the Bar number in the Time Line, or in one beat increments by clicking between the appropriate beat marks in the Time Line (be sure you click directly in the Time Line; if you click just above it, in the Markers row, you’ll open the Markers dialog box). Using either the Arrow or Forceps Tools, Drums Strikes can be selected non-contiguously by Command-clicking on individual Drum Strike icons. Selected Drum Strikes can be nudged left or right in time by using the Command-Left/Right Arrow keys. Nudge time amount depends on the degree of the current Zoom resolution.
